Rather than a traditional font, each Loose Letters™ volume contains individually crafted letterforms supplied as editable design assets. Every letter exists as its own graphic element, giving you the freedom to build typography that feels expressive, playful and completely unique.
Scale them. Rotate them. Overlap them. Recolour them. Arrange them however you like.
There are no fixed baselines, automatic spacing or typographic rules to follow — just individual letters waiting to become something new.

Instead, you build words manually by arranging each letter yourself, giving you complete creative control over spacing, composition and layout.

These hand-drawn letterforms are inspired by the feeling of American vernacular lettering — ornamental signwriting, old show cards and music ephemera, Nashville and country records, jazz-era flourishes and the fluid rhythm of letters drawn by hand.
Some letters curl and loop like ribbons. Others stretch upwards or tumble into one another. Oversized curves and wandering strokes can begin to feel almost musical — like trumpets, ribbons, garlands and sound translated into letterforms.
There's a little country music in them. A little jazz. Old hand-painted signs and record sleeves. Handwritten Christmas cards tied up with ribbon. Garlands in both senses of the word — decorative things that loop and hang, and a little of the romance and theatricality of Judy Garland.
They're not intended as a historical reproduction of any one lettering style. Instead, they borrow the feeling, fluidity and rhythm of those references and loosen them into something new.
Use them to make a country record sleeve or a wedding invitation. A perfume wordmark or a Christmas card. A gig poster, a logo, a love letter or something you haven't quite got a name for yet.
