RISING Rā is a collection of 50 hand-drawn and hand-cut sun icons — a playful blend of sharp scissors, soft edges, and sun-drenched nostalgia. Inspired by the collage spirit of Matisse, the bold abstraction of Murai Masanari’s Black Sun, Bruno Munari’s ideas in Design as Art, and the mid-century warmth of La Fonda del Sol, this set brings together modernist forms with a human, handmade touch.
These suns were created for both personal and commercial use — ideal for branding, packaging, apparel, animation, or any project needing a hint of retro-solar energy or a nod to modernist play. Think: print ephemera, surf culture, folk suns, future-facing eco design.
