POP PRINT is a hand-crafted all-caps display typeface inspired by 1960s pop graphics, roadside motel signage, ice-cream shops, record sleeves and bold hand-printed lettering. Made from scratch by hand.
Soft, chunky and graphic, Pop Print takes the strength of classic block lettering and rounds it out. Curved edges, slightly irregular forms and generous shapes give the letters the feeling of something printed, painted or cut by hand rather than perfectly constructed on screen.
The result is bold but soft, playful but strong — somewhere between a vintage motel sign, a 60s record sleeve and the lettering on an old ice-cream shop window.
Pop Print is designed for short, punchy typography where the letterforms can take centre stage — BIG LOVE, POP SHOP, HOLLYWOOD, ICE CREAM, MOTEL, ROCK & ROLL.
Pop Print takes inspiration from the atmosphere of mid-century American commercial print, pop culture and hand-painted signage rather than reproducing any single historical typeface.
