HomeStitch | Hand Crafted Font
HomeStitch is a hand-crafted display font inspired by quilted alphabets, stitched samplers, and the edging details that frame and finish handmade quilts. It draws from the quiet language of domestic craft — letters cut from fabric, sewn into blocks, bordered with care, and assembled piece by piece.
Quilted lettering has long existed in homes, stitched into heirloom blankets, wall hangings, and fabric banners. These alphabets were often made slowly and collectively — shaped by hand, softened by fibre, and edged with intention. HomeStitch carries that spirit into type.
Each letter feels gently constructed rather than digitally drawn. Edges have a softened, stitched quality. Shapes sit with slight irregularity, echoing seam allowances, quilt borders, and hand-guided cuts. The imperfections are subtle but purposeful — reflecting the warmth and humanity of fibre arts.
HomeStitch is tactile, nostalgic, and grounded in materiality. It is less about protest and more about home, care, memory, and the language of making.
Perfect for:
• Textile-inspired branding and packaging
• Handmade product labels and tags
• Editorial layouts with a craft aesthetic
• Quilt-themed projects and fibre art graphics
• Vintage-inspired posters and homeware design
What’s included:
• Uppercase A–Z (blockier, framed letters)
• Lowercase a–z (open letters with little quilt details)
• .otf font file only
Please note:
HomeStitch includes letters only. There are no numbers and no punctuation. This font is designed for display and graphic purposes.
Use the tester below to explore both uppercase and lowercase styles. I encourage playing around with letter and line spacing to create some quilt & patchwork like feelings.
Important note
HomeStitch is purposefully imperfect. Subtle irregularities in edges and alignment are intentional — honouring quilt borders, stitched seams, and the natural variation of handmade work.
HomeStitch is both a tool and a tribute — celebrating quilted alphabets, textile edging, and the enduring language of craft stitched into everyday life.
LICENSING
Your purchase includes a Standard Desktop Font License for one user (one seat). This covers use in print (posters, packaging, branding), digital graphics (web, social media, apps), logos, and both personal and client projects.
If more than one person will be using the font, or if it needs to be installed on multiple devices, please add the Extended / Multi-User License to your order ($50 USD add-on).
This add-on includes the same usage rights, simply scaled for team use.
If you’re unsure which license you need, feel free to reach out — I’m always happy to help.
